Henry Cejudo set to face Chico Camus at UFC 188
UFC 188 officially has a new flyweight battle set with Henry Cejudo (8-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) set to face Chico Camus (14-5 MMA, 3-2 UFC).
The bout, currently set for the prelims, was announced on Fox Sports 2 during the weigh-ins for UFC 186.
UFC 188 takes place June 13 at Mexico City Arena in Mexico City. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass. In the main event, heavyweight champ Cain Velasquez meets interim champ Fabricio Werdum in a title unification fight.
Cejudo has been targeting a fight on the Mexico City card since his last outing, a unanimous decision victory over Chris Cariaso at UFC 185. That fight was the first at flyweight for Cejudo, the 28-year-old 2008 Olympic freestyle wrestling gold medalist. Prior to the Cariaso bout, Cejudo took a unanimous decision over Dustin Kimura in his UFC debut.
Camus will enter the bout off his biggest win in the UFC to date, a split decision victory over Brad Pickett in his own flyweight debut. A loss to Chris Holdsworth at UFC 173 led to the decision for Camus to drop in weight. A win over Cejudo would give him a pair of big wins in his new division.
