***RATE THE LAST MOVIE YOU WATCHED***
JURASSIC WORLD
Rating: 6/10
Mediocre human characters and a straightforward story take a backseat to the awesomeness that is dinosaurs. A good addition to the franchise, but falls short of being anything great. My full review can be read here.

Monsters: Dark Continent
Rating: 2.5/10
Gareth Edwards, with very little money and a few no name actors, managed to actually make a decent movie with the first Monsters. The sequel, however, failed on all accounts.
You thought the first movie had no monsters? To call this movies "Monsters" would be like calling Apocalypto "Jaguars" ... or if you called Ghostbusters "Stay Puft." You get the idea.
This is a war movie. A bad war movie. A 'humans vs. humans' war movie. With a few monsters thrown in occasionally. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Even those who have seen the first Monsters and are curious.
The only redeeming qualities this movie has are some decent visuals, good monster designs, and a few somewhat bold scenes. All of this combined equals the .5 extra I gave it.

Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’
Rating: 8.5/10
The latest in the new Dragon Ball films, "Resurrection 'F'" is one of the best DBZ films in a long time. Far superior to "Battle of Gods", it had somewhat of an oldschool vibe to it, reminding me of some of the better films. Some new characters made it refreshing, and some of the beloved classics got an update to keep it new while still remaining loyal.
A few negatives(and I use the term very loosely) for me: despite Freeza being arguably the most iconic/popular villain from the series, he could have used a little more buildup. We see him in the beginning, he devises a plan, then it jumps ahead in time. Would have been nice to see his progress in the works. Freeza also has a new voice actor, which takes about 10 minutes to get used to.
I had a slight issue with the final battle and with the ending as well. I can't go into detail without spoiling it, but my concerns here are mostly just bias and don't take away from the movie.
A few characters were missing. Not really a big deal, but because they are mentioned it makes you wonder and want to see them.
Overall a great addition to the series. If you are a fan this is a must see.

Terminator Genisys
Rating: 6/10
I still don't know what to actually rate this. 7 seems too high. 6 makes it seem worse than it really is. Whatever.
The first two Terminator films set the bar so goddamn ridiculously high, that it's not unfair to say there will never be a Terminator movie on that level. That doesn't mean there can't be an enjoyable film made.
This is an ok addition to the franchise. I found it better than the previous 2 movies. Not saying much, I know. It has it's moments, but also has a lot of shit in it. The beginning really stands out.
I can't say I recommend this movie. If you want to see it, go for it. If not, you're not really missing out.

It was enjoyable. Had a good story and solid acting (especially by Gyllenhaal)... but where it failed to live up to its potential was with the dialogue. Cheesy at times and mostly just not believable. Seemed very contrived to me. Could have been truly amazing with better writing.
Completely forgot this was written by Kurt Sutter too. As a big SOA fan this is even more surprising. Granted i did hate the final season and the way it was written. Maybe hes lost his touch.

used every boxing/rocky cliche there is, predictable yet still pretty damn entertaining if you're a fan of fighting.

Kingsman: The Secret Service
8.5/10
Excellent action movie with an outstanding cast. Taron Egerton knocks it out of the park along with Colin Firth as the main protagonists. Hit and miss Sam L Jackson kills it in his villain role as well. Great action, gore, and violence through out. Dialogue was entertaining with a lot of good laughs. Movie left me itching for a sequel, definitely has potential to make a awesome franchise.

Enjoyable, straight to the point indie movie. Presents you with an simple yet intriguing premise and keeps you engaged the whole ride through.
Kevin Bacon kills it as the antagonist (as usual) which is also rivaled by another characters' amazingly horrible monologue you get to endure.
The writer/director of this film, Jon Watts, just landed the new Marvel Spider-Man standalone too. While i enjoyed this film, it still makes you wonder what Marvel saw that would land him one of their most important properties. Easily the most inexperienced director they've signed on yet. That said, Marvel rarely misses a beat with their casting/directors. Should be interesting to say the least.

you're not wrong, but I really didn't mind the boxing cliches that were there.
- Spoiler:
- One hang up i had was the lack of a straight rocky cliche. Would really have liked to see him lose the split decision at the end.
The trailer kinda ruined it for me too. If you havent seen the film or the trailer definitely don't watch the trailer.
- Spoiler:
- His wife dying would have been a lot more effective if i didn't know it was going to happen.

I'd say its an artistic biopic about Eddie Dodson the Gentlemen Bank Robber. The movie focuses on how he goes from being an owner of a furniture store, in debt with the bank and a lone shark friend, in L.A to robbing over 60 banks. Movie takes place in 82 or 83 I think, so the soundtrack is pretty solid. Some good moments in there a few laughs here and there. Christopher Lambert has a small but pretty bad ass role as the antagonist. Jim Sturgess plays Eddie as kind of a drugged up gentlemen who is greedy as hell. Ending was okay, but I felt it could have been way better. Solid flick.

Immediate reaction was it being solid but way overhyped....
The more days i let it sit the more im realizing how amazing and nuanced it truly is. Such a straight forward movie yet has so many small intricacies that are never shoved in your face. Theyre just apart of this world and you're expected to accept it as a normality.....and you do.
George Miller is truly a genius director.
4/5.

Black Mass: 8.5/10
Amazing performance by Johnny Depp, one of the best of his career. A little long and drawn out at times, but still managed to stay entertaining from beginning to end. All-star cast was underutilized. The movie starts off with a very exciting scene with Jesse Plemons' character. You are led to believe that the movie is going to be from his point of view, which unfortunately is not the case. He only makes a few other appearances throughout the film and instead the story rotates through the rest of the henchman, each one less interesting than the last. Despite this, Johnny Depps portrayal of Whitey Bulgar is so powerful that it literally carries the film to the very end. I could easily see this movie being a huge flop if it wasn't for him. The only downfall of this movie is that they focused so much on Depp's character that the rest of the character's development may have suffered because of it. One of my favorite movies all year, I highly recommend.

The Green Inferno
Biased Rating: 7/10
Unbiased Rating: 6/10
This wasn't entirely what I expected. Although, I'm not 100% sure what I expected.
This movie is Eli Roth 101. Hostel in a jungle. I feel it could have been a little longer, with the pacing slightly adjusted, but that would have only done so much. There are some nice throwbacks and nods to some of the old school cannibal/exploitation films. There are also a couple of nice "what the fuck!?" and "oh shit!" moments. Still not sure about the ending. Eli Roth always films multiple endings, so I'm guessing there's at least one alternate they'll put on the DVD. Overall it was... ok.
If you are a fan of Roth's other stuff or if you enjoy a good 'lost in the Amazon/cannibal' movie then watch it. Or if you just need a gory horror to watch. Either way I'd say it's worth seeing at least once.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Rating: 9/10
Nothing I can say can do justice to how good this movie is. There are exactly 3 things that I can nitpick, but they are not negatives of the movie. They are just things that I think could have been executed better. They take zero away from the overall film. Amazing in every aspect.
It's fucking Star Wars. Go see it. Now.

Deadpool

Never thought I would enjoy a Ryan Reynolds movie. Very funny, definitely the best 'solo' Marvel movie. Possibly the best Marvel movie period. All the fourth wall shit is great, and I loved all the digs at other Marvel characters/movies and superheros in general. All the jokes are extremely well written and it never gets old. Looking forward to the sequels, and hopefully Deadpool makes an appearance in future projects and ensembles.

Captain America: Civil War
7.5/10
This movie could've been the best Marvel movie so far. It has some of the greatest moments, and one of the very best battle scenes of all time. Sadly, this movie started started off painfully slow and really doesn't pick up any sort of momentum until the second half of the movie.
After about an hour, I was almost convinced that they dropped the ball with this movie. But then finally the story starts to come together when...

- Spiderman is introduced. Definitely the best take on Spiderman so far, although I still think they should've went with a black kid.

- Spoiler:
- Ant-Man shows up,
